Kohima: Kohima Deputy Commissioner B Henok Phom launched the FoodWiFi delivery app at his office this Thursday. The homegrown platform aims to boost local businesses and create new jobs across Nagaland. It marks a push for digital innovation inside the state.
Phom pushed the youth to build their own careers. He noted that the public sector has little room left for new hires. During the event, he told the crowd, "The public sector is largely saturated, and it is time for our youth to look beyond government jobs by creating opportunities for themselves and others through entrepreneurship."
FoodWiFi CEO Anato Sema said the app helps both educated and uneducated workers. He wants the platform to serve as a local alternative to big delivery companies from outside the region. The goal is to keep cash, jobs, and restaurant revenue inside Nagaland to build a stronger, local economy.
