Kohima: The Liju Federation, a body under the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission, gathered at the Public Ground in Wozhuro Range on June 12 for its third annual general meeting. The event brought together federation members, community leaders, and local officials to review the impact of rural livelihood initiatives across the Wozhuro Block.

Obendangba, the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, praised the federation for its work in strengthening local self-help groups. He encouraged these groups to register as cooperative societies to access long-term government benefits. He also advised entrepreneurs to focus on sustainable pricing and improved food preservation techniques to ensure their products remain competitive in the market.

Members shared personal success stories during the meeting to illustrate the program's effectiveness. T. Kimonglo Lotha, a member of the VF Mangasa village-level organization, explained how a small initial fund transformed her community's financial outlook. She stated, "I now run a well-established ration shop that supports her family’s livelihood, while other group members have also expanded their ventures and continue to repay loans on time."

The federation concluded the program by honoring top performers. The Chanden SHG and Hayichan VLO received awards for their excellence. Individual recognitions were also given to Oreno Patton, Ebibeni Lotha, and Thungrhoni Yanthan for their contributions to the mission.
