Imphal: A Kuki-Zo group slammed the National Investigation Agency and state forces for what they call selective, biased detentions. They demand an immediate stop to these actions. The group claims these agencies target Kuki-Zo individuals to enforce state-sponsored victimization.

Community members already face severe persecution. They suffer from blocked movement, limited access to medicine, and disrupted education or careers. These people report suffering at the hands of both Meitei and Naga communities. The group maintains they follow the Constitution of India and act as peace-loving citizens.

"The Kuki-Zo people cannot accept further victimisation by a government that is meant to protect all citizens equally," the group stated. They insist they will not settle for being treated like second-class citizens in their own ancestral homeland.

The organization warned that ongoing harassment and structural oppression push the region toward an intolerable tipping point. If the state refuses to treat them as equal citizens, the group says they have no choice but to carve their own path by any means necessary. They now favor a struggle for dignity over living under current conditions. The group is calling on human rights bodies and international observers to intervene and fix this humanitarian crisis before the situation breaks down completely.
