Kohima: Kohima Law College recently conducted a moot court exercise to help students apply theoretical legal knowledge in a professional setting. This initiative aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the demands of actual courtroom practice.
Students analyzed two specific legal propositions focused on Constitutional and Contract Law. During the proceedings, participants prepared formal memorials and presented arguments for both the petitioner and respondent. This setup allowed them to test their advocacy, analytical thinking, and legal reasoning in a realistic environment.
Assistant professor Kekhriesilie Richa and advocate Teisozelhou Beio supervised the event. They guided students through the sessions, emphasizing that law serves as a vital instrument for justice and social responsibility. By participating in these simulations, students gained a deeper understanding of how to balance legal theory with courtroom ethics and professional competence.
