Kohima: The Community Library Kigwema teamed up with the Kipho-Mera Students' Union to host Spelling Bee Competition 2.0. The event took place at Kipho-Seca Khel Morung in Kigwema on August 1. Organizers focused on the theme of triggering curiosity through alternative learning.
Thirty students ranging from Class V to Class X competed across three separate categories. Over 50 attendees watched the action, including village elders, youths, children, and representatives from the Kigwema Students' Union.
Metsivizo Phira, an Inspector of Excise for the Government of Nagaland and proprietor of Achievers Academy, served as the guest speaker. He told the crowd that students must prioritize their educational foundation. Phira urged the participants, "focus on learning rather than merely passing examinations."
