Imphal: Lamjao High School hosted the 24th annual World Suicide Prevention Day. The event centered on the theme, "Changing the Narrative on Suicide, Start the Conversation." Organizers from the District Health Society and the District Mental Health Programme in Kakching led the session.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Thaodem Rajen served as the chief guest for the day. Headmaster-in-Charge Huidrom Jayenta presided over the proceedings. Other guests included District Nodal Officer Dr. Khangembam Gopeshwar, Medical Officer Dr. Elangbam Kiran, and Food Safety Administrator N. Debendro.
Students competed in a drawing contest during the event. Winners received prizes for their work. Teachers and students finished the day with a collective pledge to back suicide prevention efforts in their community.
