Kakching District Concludes Successful Jan Kalyan Shivir Welfare Event

Imphal: The three-day Jan Kalyan Shivir hosted by the District Administration of Kakching concluded at the DC Office Complex. This outreach event aimed to bridge the gap between government institutions and the public by bringing various state and central welfare schemes under one roof.

Over the course of the event, officials received 1,121 applications from approximately 1,100 attendees. Authorities managed to process and dispose of 977 of these applications, ensuring that eligible beneficiaries received support through initiatives like Ayushman Bharat, PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, and the Startup Manipur Scheme.

During the final day, local leaders including Wabagai MLA Dr. Usham Deben Singh, Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar Singh, and Deputy Commissioner Angeline Renita distributed essential resources. Beneficiaries received items ranging from ration cards and CMST cards to agricultural fertilizers and widow pension documents. The administration emphasized its commitment to community access, noting that the program gives "special emphasis so that no eligible beneficiary is left out."

The concluding day alone saw 507 participants submit 521 applications, with 485 of those requests finalized immediately. Other services provided during the camp included access to the PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Surya Ghar, and Kisan Credit Card schemes.
