Kohima: The International Mind Education Institute, partnering with Mt Mary College in Chümoukedima, recently wrapped up a one-year Mind Education Course. The certification event took place at the Grand Vista Hotel in Dimapur, beginning with an opening prayer from Pastor Sona Abraham of the Grace Gospel Mission.
Dr. Ansai B. Basumatary, the course director, opened the ceremony by praising the students for their commitment and thanking the institutions for their partnership. The academic program included two key technical sessions aimed at personal development. Daiante Ch. Marak, the institute's Meghalaya state in-charge, discussed the necessity of inner discipline. He argued that while desire motivates action, unchecked impulses frequently cause dissatisfaction, stating, "Self-control is the key to a fulfilled life."
The second session focused on practical application, led by North East Director Udayaraj Paundel. He challenged participants to move past surface-level thinking and prioritize heartfelt communication to resolve conflicts. Students shared personal stories during a testimony segment, detailing how the course shifted their perspectives and improved their relationships.
Mt Mary College Managing Director Dr. Teeya Imsong closed the event by urging the graduates to integrate these lessons into their daily routines. The celebration also featured artistic performances by the group The Righteous Stars to mark the completion of the program.
