Indian Army Holds Veterans Meet in Agartala to Tackle Welfare Concerns

Agartala: The Indian Army gathered over 50 ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, and family members at Agartala Military Station this week. The event focused on fixing long-standing welfare issues. Officials wanted results. The General Officer Commanding of 101 Area led the session to bridge the gap between retired personnel and active command.

Veterans pressed leadership on healthcare gaps and finding state government jobs. Discussion centered on the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme and new paths for Agniveer recruitment. They need better access to services.

The commander promised to prioritize these grievances. He told the crowd that their service matters. He said, "The Indian Army's commitment to the welfare of ex-servicemen, disabled soldiers, Veer Naris and their families" remains the top priority. The meeting wrapped up with a pledge to keep lines of communication open for all who served.
