Shillong: ICFAI University Meghalaya finished a three-day national seminar on Friday. The Tura campus hosted the event. Experts discussed digital disruption in marketing, focusing on sustainability and new business challenges. The Department of Management ran the show alongside IUP Publications.
Students and professionals showed up. People traveled from 13 states including Meghalaya, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, West Bengal, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Sikkim. The crowd featured teachers, researchers, and industry players.
Dr. Brenda D. Marak served as the seminar convenor. Vice Chancellor Dr. Alicia Gatphoh led the proceedings. Notable guests included Vikrant University Vice Chancellor Prof. Atul Kumar, ICFAI University Director Proley M. Sangma, and digital marketing coach Amudhakar PR.
The seminar ran four technical sessions. Moderators came from IIM Rohtak, NEHU, and other academic institutions. As the event concluded, organizers reflected on the mission, noting the event aimed to "bring together academicians, industry experts and students from 13 states to discuss the impact of digital technologies on business and sustainable development."
