Guwahati: Satgaon police officers nabbed a man in Panjabari during an anti-drug sweep. They hauled Subham Sonar into custody after finding six vials filled with suspected brown sugar. The stash weighed in at 7.7 grams.
Officers booked the suspect immediately. Legal proceedings are now active. Authorities are working to trace the source of the drugs and hunt for ties to larger trafficking networks.
Police stated, "Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the suspected narcotics and identify any links to a wider drug trafficking network." This arrest is one part of a citywide crackdown. Guwahati Police are running intensified raids to choke out the illegal drug trade.
