Guwahati Police Bust Heroin Peddler in Ambari Operation

Guwahati: Fatasil Ambari police cornered a drug dealer in Guwahati. Officers moved in near Tini Ali in Ambari after receiving a tip about a narcotics drop. They took Raja Prasad Shah, a local from Katabari, into custody on the spot.

The search turned up 11.75 grams of heroin and a mobile phone. Police are now digging into the suspect’s contacts to find the source of the stash and track other dealers in the area. Authorities confirmed the arrest is part of a statewide push against illegal drugs, stating, "A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the narcotics and identify others who may be linked to the drug trafficking network."

The law is tightening. Officers are not backing down on this crackdown.
