Guwahati: Guwahati Airport just boosted its emergency response gear. The facility added a High Reach Extendable Turret Crash Fire Tender and specialized water rescue boats to its fleet. These tools allow the airport to handle accidents on land, in the air, or in nearby water.

The Rosenbauer fire truck features a massive extendable turret. This rig lets crews reach high sections of a plane to fight fires fast. It replaces older tech with better reach and speed. The airport also picked up water rescue boats to cover accidents in local waterways. Now, the crew can respond to crashes outside the runway fence.

The Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting team works under the motto, "We Serve to Save." They meet all DGCA safety standards. The unit trains constantly with regular drills and prevention campaigns to keep the gear ready. These upgrades turn Guwahati Airport into a safer hub for Northeast India.
