Kohima: GPRN/NSCN leadership hit back at social media rumors regarding a recent arrest. The group refuted reports claiming the apprehension of Hokito Yeptho, a resident of Xukhepu Village in Zunheboto district. Officials blasted the claim as false and misleading.
The organization, led by president Gen. (Retd.) MB Neokpao Konyak and ato kilonser Alezo Venuh, addressed the Diphupar Police Station directly. They warned the officer-in-charge against misusing the term Unification to describe the group headed by Kitovi. The group maintains that Kitovi dropped the title after his impeachment.
GPRN/NSCN demanded that agencies verify facts before releasing statements to avoid harming social harmony. They warned that they might take action if the errors continue. The press statement read: "The organisation categorically rejected the claim, terming it false and misleading."
In separate personnel news, the Ministry of Kilo Affairs issued two formal service orders from the Khehoyi Designated Camp. Effective July 30, leacy N. Yimtichoba of Chang Region received a discharge from active national service due to medical reasons. The government expressed its gratitude for his contributions to the Naga cause.
On the same date, the organization terminated leacy Renben Odyuo, son of the late Wosemo from Chandalashung Village. Officials cited a breach of party discipline as the cause for his dismissal. The group clarified that it bears no responsibility for any of Odyuo's future actions.
