Shillong: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports opened the nomination window for the 2025 Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award. They want to honor excellence in four fields: Land, Water, and Air Adventure, plus a Lifetime Achievement category. This is the hunt for the country's best.
Interested parties must submit their applications through the Common Awards Portal at https://awards.gov.in/. The deadline is fast approaching. You have from July 21 until August 20 to finish your submission. Do not try to mail in paperwork, as the Ministry stated, "any applications received offline will be summarily rejected."
State governments and union territory administrations can submit names for consideration. Recognized bodies like the Indian Mountaineering Foundation also hold nomination power. The adventure promotion cells of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and paramilitary forces, including the ITBP, remain eligible to suggest candidates.
