Four Die Following Motorcycle Collision in Assam

Guwahati: A head-on collision between two motorcycles resulted in the deaths of four young men in Assam early Sunday morning. The crash occurred around 2 am on the Mirza-Palashbari road near Bajrapara as heavy rainfall impacted the area.

Police responding to the scene transported five injured individuals to a hospital in Mirza. Three riders, identified as Jyoti Kalita, Nikhil Das, and Chandan Jana, were pronounced dead upon arrival. Two other men, Dipankar Kalita and Arnav Barman, were rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital for emergency care due to the severity of their injuries.

One of the two hospitalized victims later died on Sunday morning, bringing the total death toll to four. The local community is mourning the loss of the young men following the tragic accident.
