Drivers were forced to crawl through the submerged highway at a snail's pace. This mess happens every time the skies open up. Locals are tired of the constant danger, noting that "the flooding, a recurring problem in the area, led to inconvenience for commuters" time and again.
Officials face mounting pressure to fix the drainage issues along the corridor. For now, the road remains a gamble for anyone trying to cross the Northeast.
