Imphal: Election Commission of India officials hit the ground in Bishnupur this Friday. They came to oversee the Special Intensive Revision of the 2026 photo electoral rolls. P. Pawan led the delegation alongside Social Media Executive Devansh Tiwari. They sat down with District Election Officer Pooja Elangbam and her team of registration officers to talk shop.

Elangbam laid out the district data, staff training protocols, and plans to shuffle polling stations for better access. P. Pawan praised the work done so far. He told officials to stay sharp against bad information and said, "strengthen response mechanisms to counter misinformation and ensure the accuracy and credibility of the SIR-2026 exercise."

The team did not just stay in boardrooms. They headed to the Chingu Thangjing Guest House relief camp in Moirang. They met with people displaced by conflict to make sure they get on the ballot. The officials finished the day in Thanga and Karang. They checked on Booth Level Officers to keep the enumeration process on track.
