Kohima: Dr. M Chuba Ao, the National Vice President of the BJP and Chairman of MARCOFED Nagaland, participated in the nationwide Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign during a visit to Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The event coincided with World Environment Day and was held at the Meerut Cantonment Board to promote environmental conservation and sustainable living.
During the plantation drive, Dr. Ao urged citizens to plant and nurture trees as part of their collective responsibility to protect the planet for future generations. He stated that these actions represent important steps toward sustainable development.
While in the region, Dr. Ao also traveled on the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail. He praised the nation for its modern transportation infrastructure and digital payment systems. The Mount Mary College community, which Dr. Ao founded, stated that they are proud of his ongoing commitment to initiatives that encourage responsible leadership and environmental awareness.
