Kohima: Dimapur lab technicians gathered at the District Hospital conference hall on August 28 for a training session. The National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme organized the event. Dr. George Thirah opened the day with official remarks. Dr. Ayangla Saku, the District Vector Borne Officer, followed with the keynote address. Dr. K Pewezokhalo detailed the technical background. Consultant Imsubenla instructed the group on proper recording and reporting procedures. Dr. Epibeni Humtsoe chaired the proceedings.
Officials finished the day with a firm promise. The agency stated, "The programme concluded with a commitment to further strengthen laboratory services and technical capacity across the state for effective prevention, control and elimination of vector-borne diseases." This initiative serves as a push to improve health outcomes across the state.
