Kohima: The NSS Unit of City Law College and the Sunrise Colony Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding on June 3, 2026, to bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical legal experience. The agreement was finalized by Programme Officer Tongpang Imchen for the college and chairman N. John Zeliang for the council.

Witnessing the signing were City Law College principal Dr. T. Limanochet Jamir, GB Odinungshang, and chairman-cum-administrator Pucakhu Sema. This partnership aims to strengthen academic learning by providing students with hands-on exposure to community-based work and professional development.

The collaboration covers a broad range of initiatives, including workshops, seminars, internships, and field training. Both organizations also plan to conduct joint research and community outreach programs to facilitate knowledge transfer. According to the college, the goal is to "strengthen practical exposure and expertise for law students" by embedding them in real-world environments through capacity building and skill enhancement activities.
