Kohima: The Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) of Medziphema Circle condemned the sexual abuse of a minor in Ward-9. The crime occurred on July 7. The organization identified the accused as a retired Army veteran hailing from Maova village.
Officials demanded a fast and fair investigation from law enforcement. The group stated that the crime “violates every norm of civilised society.” They expect police to catch the offender without delay.
The CPO issued a warning to the public. “Such a cruel and inhuman crime is a serious violation of the rights, dignity and innocence of a child and has no place in a civilized society,” the statement read. The organization also urged local authorities to secure medical care and counseling for the victim. They want full protection for the child as the legal process begins.
