Guwahati: Cachar Police pulled 3,000 Yaba tablets off the street in a late-night raid. Officers arrested one drug peddler during the operation in Katigorah. The hit came after investigators acted on a specific tip.

A joint team from the Katigorah and Kalain stations swarmed the Latimara area on K.H. Road. They caught Hasan Ahmed, a resident of Lahmali village, while he held the stash. Authorities estimate the haul is worth several lakh rupees on the black market.

Officials call the seizure another significant achievement in their push to clean up the district. Police filed charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. "Further investigation is underway," said police officials regarding the case against Ahmed.
