Officials say the reshuffle is part of a larger plan to fix the central organisational machinery. This includes shifting national vice-presidents, general secretaries, and secretaries into fresh roles.
Babbar enters the fold to bridge the gap between central command and local units. The party described the shift as a bid to "strengthen its organisational presence across the region amid complex political developments." With Patra leading and Babbar on the ground, the BJP expects a tighter grip on its regional operations.
