Kohima: BJP National President Nitin Nabin shook up the party ranks on Wednesday. He named new state in-charges and co-in-charges for various union territories and states. The moves signal a strategic shift. Mangal Pandey, an MLA, now takes the reins as the State Incharge of Assam.
Pandey will work alongside two new co-in-charges. S Phangnon Konyak, a Rajya Sabha MP from Nagaland and BJP National Secretary, landed the role of Co-Incharge of Assam. Joining her is Manoj Tigga, a Lok Sabha MP from West Bengal and fellow BJP National Secretary. The party is banking on this fresh leadership team to manage its operations in the state.
