Aizawl: Assam Rifles and the Excise and Narcotics Department raided the Bawngkawn area of Aizawl on a tip. They recovered 38 grams of Heroin No. 4, split into three packages. The haul carries a street value of 28.5 lakh rupees.
Officers arrested Lalvunga during the operation. The suspect hails from Mualkawi in the Champhai district. Authorities moved quickly to secure the evidence. They handed both the narcotics and the accused to the Excise and Narcotics Department in Aizawl.
Officials confirmed the transfer for legal proceedings. A spokesperson stated, "The seized narcotics along with the accused were handed over to the Excise and Narcotics Department, Aizawl, for further investigation and legal proceedings." The investigation remains active.
