Guwahati: Konark Jaishy, a research scholar from Digboi, Assam, has earned a spot to present his work at the IEEE International Conference on Image Processing held in Tampere, Finland. Scheduled for September 2026, the event will feature Jaishy as he shares his findings in the fields of artificial intelligence and computer vision.

The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur is sponsoring the trip through its Platinum Jubilee Global Partnership Advancement Scheme. The university will cover all associated costs including travel, visa fees, medical insurance, and registration expenses. Jaishy began his academic path in Digboi before completing his higher secondary education in New Delhi. He later earned a B.Tech from the Vellore Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing his M.Tech at IIT Kharagpur. His selection follows a rigorous international peer review process.
