Assam NCC Cadet Rajshree Roy Summits Mount Rhenock

Guwahati: Rajshree Roy, a cadet from the 4 Assam Battalion NCC based in Sribhumi, has made history by becoming the first member of her unit to summit Mount Rhenock. The peak stands at an altitude of 5,030 meters, or 16,500 feet.

The successful climb took place on May 18, 2026, with Roy reaching the summit at 10:30 am. She completed the mission despite facing harsh weather and difficult terrain. During the expedition, Roy also managed to continue her ascent while battling cold-related injuries, a feat that battalion officials credited to her exceptional physical endurance and mental discipline.

The leadership of the 4 Assam Battalion NCC praised the achievement as a display of courage and perseverance. They noted that this milestone brings great pride to the organization and serves as an example for other cadets to pursue difficult goals with dedication.
