Guwahati: Assam Cabinet Minister Krishnendu Paul toured the water supply project site in Jagiroad on August 19. He monitored the infrastructure development for the upcoming Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Testing facility. The minister brought along the Chief Engineer of Water and Sanitation, the Executive Engineer, and various representatives from the Public Health Engineering Department of the Government of Assam.

Construction must stay on schedule. Paul emphasized that the state needs reliable water systems to support this massive industrial investment. The team reviewed every stage of the project to ensure the infrastructure meets the specific demands of the factory. Delays are not an option. Paul stated, "Strong infrastructure is essential to support industrial growth and contribute to Assam's broader economic development."

This site visit reflects a wider government push to finalize utility networks for major state projects. Officials confirmed the work remains aligned with the needs of the Tata facility to ensure the site is ready for operation.
