Assam Celebrates Sikkim Statehood Day Under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Initiative

Gangtok: Sikkim's Statehood Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Assam Lok Bhavan on May 16. The event was held under the banner of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative and led by Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, who extended his warm wishes to the people of Sikkim. During his address, the Governor praised the state as a beacon of peace, national pride, and environmental stewardship.

Highlighting the state's achievements, Governor Acharya noted that Sikkim has become a global model for sustainable development.
