Asian Games Gold Medalist Lovlina Borgohain Joins Delhi Police Safety Patrol

Guwahati: Asian Games gold medalist Lovlina Borgohain hit the streets of Rajouri Garden on Monday. She joined Delhi Police officers for a foot patrol. The boxer wants more awareness about women's safety in the capital. Public concern remains high regarding crime against women. Groups across Delhi keep demanding better protection in public spaces.

Lovlina beat China's Bao Ziyi 5-0 on October 2. She claimed the 75kg gold on her 29th birthday. This win upgrades her 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games silver. She felt the timing made the victory extra special. "Women's safety is extremely important, and the Delhi Police's initiative to conduct patrols focused on this issue is excellent," she said.

Her medal case is full. She completed the set after the 2026 Commonwealth Games. That achievement removed her pressure to perform. She won bronze at the Tokyo Olympics but left Paris 2024 empty-handed. She now eyes the Los Angeles Olympics. Her path leads through the World Championships. She plans to give 100 percent to upgrade her medal standing once again.
