Arunachal Pradesh Emerging as Northeast Growth Engine, Says CM Pema Khandu

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh is experiencing a period of rapid transformation and investment, according to Chief Minister Pema Khandu. Speaking at the 73rd Plenary Session of the North Eastern Council in Shillong, Khandu noted that the state is evolving from a frontier region into a vital driver of economic progress for the entire Northeast.

The session was chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and attended by regional governors, chief ministers, and central officials to review ongoing development projects. Khandu credited a diverse range of sectors for this positive momentum, specifically citing advancements in roads, airports, tourism, startups, agriculture, and hydropower.

Reflecting on the progress made during the meeting, the Chief Minister remarked, "What was once seen as a frontier is today emerging as a growth engine of the Northeast." He emphasized that the region currently faces a unique period of expansion, urging leaders to focus on bold actions and effective delivery to capitalize on these new opportunities.
