Arunachal Mahila Congress Protests Against Kangana Ranaut Over NEET Remarks

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee members torched an effigy of BJP lawmaker Kangana Ranaut in Itanagar on July 30. The protest happened at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan. The demonstrators demanded she issue an unconditional public apology for her recent remarks.

Ranaut sparked outrage by calling young people protesting NEET paper leaks and exam irregularities a generation gutter. She publicly questioned who was raising these students. APMCC president Chukhu Nachi led the demonstration. She slammed the Mandi MP for attacking youth instead of fixing exam corruption.

Nachi stood before reporters to defend the protesters. She said, "The youth of India are not the problem. The real problem is the failure of the BJP government to protect the integrity of the country's examination system. Students demanding accountability cannot be branded as a useless generation."

The Congress party argued that no elected official has the right to demean citizens seeking education and jobs. They warned that attempts to humiliate students will only fuel further resistance against paper leaks and scams. The group now calls for student organizations, women, and civil society to unite and defend the democratic rights of the younger generation.
