Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh BJP leaders hit back at the Opposition on July 23. They held a press conference at the party's State Head Office in Itanagar to call out Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The BJP claims Gandhi and his allies are politicizing the ongoing NEET paper leak controversy. They insist the Opposition should focus on constructive talk inside Parliament.
Agriculture and Allied Minister Gabriel D. Wangsu led the charge. He demanded to know why Gandhi avoids meaningful debate on a topic he labeled a matter of grave national concern. Wangsu insisted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi keeps student welfare at the top of his agenda. He promised that authorities will punish anyone who jeopardizes the future of young citizens.
The government is moving fast. Prime Minister Modi ordered the creation of fast-track courts to resolve paper leak cases quickly. "Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, student welfare remains the government's highest priority and assured that strict action would be taken against anyone found guilty of compromising students' futures," Wangsu said.
The BJP claims the Congress party prefers political point-scoring over genuine examination reform. Despite these tensions, Wangsu signaled that the government remains open to ideas. He urged all parties to contribute to the democratic process responsibly. Officials noted that police already made several arrests in these cases. They have also beefed up security measures for recent exams to prevent further cheating.
