Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee fired back at the BJP on July 24. They held the ruling party responsible for the ongoing NEET examination disaster. Spokesperson Johny Yangfo spoke from Itanagar. He claimed the party is dodging accountability for systemic failures affecting millions of students.
Protests continue across the country. Congress officials insist this is not a petty political squabble. Yangfo called the situation a "national educational emergency" caused by repeated paper leaks and administrative incompetence. The BJP claims the Opposition is only trying to disrupt Parliament to score points.
Congress leaders reject that narrative. They point to active criminal investigations and police arrests as proof of institutional decay. They demand the Union Education Minister step up and accept responsibility for the mess. The list of demands is long. They want an independent probe, a complete overhaul of the National Testing Agency, and better security for test papers.
The party also wants a transparent exam calendar and protection for whistle-blowers. They remain skeptical of the government's plan to use fast-track courts for leak cases. They argue that quick trials do not fix the broken system. The state Congress maintains that students are protesting for their own future, not at the behest of any party. They are ready to debate reforms whenever the government decides to listen.
