Arunachal Governor Calls for Social Unity on Raksha Bandhan

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor K T Parnaik marked the eve of Raksha Bandhan by pushing for a society built on mutual respect and care. He met with students and teachers at Lok Bhavan in Itanagar to discuss the deeper meaning of the holiday. The group tied rakhis on his wrists during the visit. The Governor told the attendees that the day stands for more than a sibling bond.

Parnaik urged the students to strive for excellence in their studies. He promised his backing for their future goals. Members of the Brahma Kumaris also visited the Governor to tie rakhis. He thanked the group for their work in moral education and peace. The Governor highlighted the need to uphold the dignity of women across the state. "Beyond the ceremonial tying of the rakhi, the festival embodies enduring values of care, respect, responsibility and mutual support," Parnaik said.
