Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Marketing Board signed a deal with NABARD Consultancy Services Private Limited on Thursday, July 16. This partnership aims to strengthen farm scheme execution and support growers across the state. NABCONS will now serve as the Project Monitoring Unit to oversee central and state agricultural programs.
General Manager S.V. Ranga Rao and CEO Okit Palling signed the agreement. Agriculture and Horticulture Minister Gabriel D. Wangsu watched the proceedings alongside Secretary Samuel Changkija. The state wants better project implementation. Minister Wangsu noted the region holds massive potential but needs custom strategies. He said, "Arunachal Pradesh has immense potential but requires strategies tailored to its unique geography and local conditions."
Farmers currently struggle to reach markets and secure fair prices. The government now plans to build digital systems to solve these problems. Road connectivity and diverse climates offer chances for crop expansion. Secretary Changkija expects the technical backing from NABCONS to help solve field-level issues through closer coordination.
