Kohima: Census officials and community leaders met at the ADC office on July 4 to map out the upcoming census. The goal is gathering authentic data to drive future government programs. Deputy director Imkong told the assembly that the exercise happens in two phases. He urged everyone to cooperate with the census team.
EAC Aghunato updated the room on the ongoing House Listing Operation. Aghunato is split into four census charges. They appointed 89 supervisors and enumerators to handle the workload. "Census data will determine future government policies and programmes," Imkong said.
Fieldwork faces real problems. Poor roads and bad mobile signals slow down the count. The ADC office is monitoring the progress while working with other departments to clear roadblocks. Officials also held a session to fix confusion about the census app and field operations.
