ABVP Protests in Assam Over Jharkhand Exam Scandal

Guwahati: ABVP members swarmed the Dhubri District Commissioner's office on August 13. They demanded a CBI investigation into massive irregularities and paper leaks in Jharkhand’s JPSC and JSSC examinations. Protesters blasted the Jharkhand government and Chief Minister Hemant Soren for failing lakhs of students.

Students spend years prepping for these tests. This rot destroys their future. The organization submitted a memorandum to the President of India via the District Commissioner. They want the JSSC CGL exam and other compromised tests canceled and re-run immediately.

Golakganj unit convenor Sanjay Roy led the charge. He said, "Examination irregularities could severely affect the future of students who spend several years preparing for competitive examinations." The group also demanded a total cleanup of the recruitment system.

Beyond test fraud, the protesters targeted state police tactics. They slammed recent lathi-charges and arrests of students in Jharkhand. They want all cases against innocent protesters dropped. The ABVP vowed to keep pressure on the government until the recruitment process is transparent and the guilty face the law.
