Agartala: A 20-year-old man was remanded to judicial custody until June 20 by a court in West Tripura following accusations of rape involving a minor. Police arrested Rahul Saha after the victim's mother filed a complaint at the Srinagar Police Station on June 7.

Authorities allege the incident occurred on June 6 at the Anandanagar Higher Secondary School. Investigators stated that the school was closed at the time, noting that the pair gained entry by scaling the boundary wall. Police confirmed that they visited the site to gather evidence as part of the ongoing probe.

Official sources indicated that the two individuals were acquainted and allegedly in a relationship. Police claim Saha used criminal intimidation against the minor before the assault occurred. According to police, the accused "allegedly admitted to the allegations" during questioning.

Law enforcement officials are continuing their investigation into the matter. They have stated that additional legal steps will be determined based on the final findings of the case.
