West Garo Hills Police Bust Bike Theft Ring

Shillong: West Garo Hills police busted a motorcycle theft ring this week. Officers arrested three men and seized three stolen bikes. The sweep began on July 7 after a patrol team intercepted a suspicious unregistered Bajaj Platina at Tikirikilla Market.

Police took Minith Marak of Teksagre and Jaksram G Momin of Raksamgre into custody that night. Interrogations led officers to a second stolen motorcycle, a Bajaj Pulsar registered as AS-21M-7462, which had been pinched from Dadenggre. Authorities processed the case at Dadenggre Police Station and held both men for legal action.

The investigation pressed on. On Tuesday morning, Dadenggre police tracked down a third suspect, Baiti A Sangma of Tebronggre. They grabbed him at Rongmasugre and found a third stolen bike in his possession. Officials stated, "Investigation into the vehicle theft racket is ongoing."
