Tuensang Artisans Trained in Branding and Marketing Tactics

Kohima: The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, in partnership with the Nagaland Department of Industries and Commerce and the District Industries Centre in Tuensang, hosted a branding and marketing workshop on August 25. The event took place at ENPO Hall for local PM Vishwakarma artisans. Officials focused on product design, financial literacy, and export standards.

C. Bejem Nangmai of Nangmai Enterprises led the first technical session. She focused on the necessity of strong product identity. "She also highlighted the role of sustainable packaging solutions in improving product appeal and consumer confidence." Participants learned about statutory labelling and design compliance to boost market competitiveness.

Thungdi C. Chang, an inspector at DIC Tuensang, managed the export development session. He walked attendees through market access requirements and government support schemes. Banking representatives from the State Bank of India in Tuensang stood by to answer questions. Financial Analyst Khanjimong C. rounded out the agenda with a briefing on financial literacy.

The State Programme Management Unit for PM Vishwakarma also ran an interactive AI session. This portion introduced digital tools to help artisans build better brands. They demonstrated how to write effective prompts for product design and marketing campaigns.
