Agartala: Tripura is chasing a massive Rs 1 lakh crore investment target. Chief Minister Manik Saha confirmed the state will host the Destination Tripura Business Conclave-2026 starting July 9. The event runs for two days at the Hapania International Fair Ground.

Saha wants to drive up employment and state income. He is pushing officials to deliver a flawless event. The government previously signed deals worth Rs 30,000 crore, with Rs 8,000 crore already moving into the building phase. Officials are working under the banner of "Team Tripura" to keep the momentum going.

More than 500 delegates will pack the venue. This includes international guests from Bangladesh, the Philippines, the Maldives, and beyond. Over 20 stalls will highlight opportunities in tech, healthcare, and tourism. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will attend the launch.

The state aims to secure commitments in rubber, tea, and logistics. Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha noted the state now leads the country in legal simplification. Leaders hope this reform track record will pull in global capital and solidify the state's reputation.
