Agartala: Tripura is open for business. Chief Minister Manik Saha claims the state is now a top destination for capital thanks to better law and order, easy access to raw materials, and streamlined government rules. The state government expects 500 leaders to show up for the two-day Destination Tripura: Business Conclave 2026.
The event starts July 9 at the Badharghat International Fair Ground in West Tripura. Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia will lead the guest list alongside senior central officials. Saha said, "Tripura has emerged as an attractive investment destination."
Past summits brought in ₹8,000 crore from a pool of ₹30,000 crore in proposals. Saha expects this round to land fresh cash. He claims these deals will grow the Gross State Domestic Product and create new jobs.
Saha checked the progress of the event during a meeting with Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha and DGP Anurag Dhankar. The Industries and Commerce Department spent two months running promotion events outside the state to drum up interest for the July gathering.
