Agartala: A survey for a fresh railway route passing through Kailashahar is done. The project aims to improve connectivity across Tripura. Officials finished the ground work recently.

Tripura MP Biplab Kumar Deb shared the update during a Vartalap session. He noted the state government is pushing for better infrastructure to boost local trade and travel. The survey results clear the path for the next phase of planning.

The move comes after years of public demand for better rail access in the northern region. Supporters of the project expect it to move quickly now that the site assessment is finished. "Survey for alternative railway route through Kailashahar completed in Tripura, MP says in Vartalap," officials confirmed.
