Agartala: Tripura Minority Welfare Minister Sukla Charan Noatia met with Secretary Ranjana Chopra of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in New Delhi to discuss accelerating support for the Bru community. The meeting focused on streamlining the implementation of various welfare projects, livelihood programs, and ongoing resettlement efforts within the state.
Minister Noatia described the meeting as productive and emphasized the state's alignment with national efforts to reach marginalized populations. He noted that the government aims to improve the long-term socio-economic conditions of those living in Tripura. Regarding the government's priorities, Noatia stated, "Our state government, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra ModiJi, remains deeply committed to ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last mile."
Officials stated that the discussions centered on enhancing coordination between state authorities and federal agencies. By improving this partnership, the government intends to speed up infrastructure development and support services designed for Bru rehabilitation.
