Agartala: The Tripura government has launched a statewide digital portal designed to centralize school monitoring and improve student learning outcomes. School Education Secretary Dr. Milind Dharamrao Ramteke introduced the system during a workshop held in Agartala this Tuesday, which involved the NIPUN Tripura Cell and the Directorate of Elementary Education.
This platform requires officials to upload inspection reports and assessment data to a unified dashboard. This setup allows district and state authorities to access real-time information and address educational gaps immediately. Dr. Ramteke explained the necessity of the project, stating, "The digital system would enable authorities to access real-time information from the field and take prompt corrective measures whenever gaps or deficiencies are identified."
Under the new protocol, Block and Cluster Resource Persons will visit primary schools every two weeks to update the portal. For students in Classes VI through X, Inspectors of Schools will manage academic supervision, including surprise classroom visits. Teachers are also tasked with periodically uploading student records to support the state's focus on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy.
Director of Elementary Education Harshita Biswas called for a collective effort among staff to boost educational standards. The initiative, supported by training sessions from Vidya Samiksha Kendra officials, includes representatives from all eight districts and the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council. The government intends to use this data-driven approach to enhance accountability and improve overall school quality.
