Agartala: Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury visited the state's picturesque Chabimura site this week to oversee ongoing infrastructure development. The government aims to transform the location, often called the Amazon of Northeast India, into a world-class attraction capable of drawing both domestic and international visitors.
During his inspection, the minister emphasized the urgency of the project while mandating high construction standards. The Tourism Department has already laid the foundation stone for an extensive revamp intended to modernize amenities and improve the overall visitor experience.
Chowdhury highlighted the site's unique cultural and natural value, stating, "Chabimura, with its breathtaking natural beauty and unique heritage, is one of Tripura’s most valuable tourism assets."
The minister coordinated with key stakeholders, including MLA Ranjit Das, ADC Executive Officer C.K. Jamatia, and senior officials from the Tourism Department, to finalize plans for better infrastructure and services. By upgrading these facilities, the government expects to establish Chabimura as a premier eco-tourism destination within the Northeast region.
