Agartala: Tripura sent a fresh shipment of organic goods to Dubai on Friday. The export deal moves through Lulu Retail, a company with reach across six Gulf nations. Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath flagged off the load containing 1,300 scented lemons, 182 kilograms of Kalikhasa aromatic rice, and 350 Queen pineapples.

Local farmer producer companies supplied the goods. The Baramura FPC provided lemons from Khowai. Trishna FPC sourced rice from South Tripura. Khabaksa FPC delivered pineapples from the Gomati district. Nath noted the state recently sent 10,000 kilograms of organic dried bird's eye chilli to Germany.

The government wants better returns for local growers. They are pushing for certification, branding, and new market links to boost profits. "It is a matter of pride that Tripura's organic produce has been included in Lulu Retail's marketing network," Nath said.

Officials also highlighted recent business deals. The Destination Tripura Business Conclave pulled in major investment pledges. Power sector agreements reached over 23,000 crore rupees. Agriculture and horticulture sectors drew in nearly 1,700 crore rupees in new investment proposals.
