Agartala: Senior Congress leader and MLA Sudip Roy Barman delivered a sharp critique of the Narendra Modi-led Central government during an executive meeting of the Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress in Agartala on May 17. Addressing newly elected representatives at the Students Health Home, Barman characterized the current state of the nation as concerning, pointing to ongoing economic turmoil and perceived failures in foreign policy.

During his address, the MLA accused the administration of prioritizing external influences, specifically alleging that the Prime Minister is overly deferential to the United States. He urged the youth to unite and increase public awareness regarding the policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party, emphasizing the need to strengthen the Congress organization in preparation for upcoming electoral challenges.

Barman also addressed the recent controversy surrounding the NEET exam paper leak, describing the incident as evidence that the current government is facilitating a sale of talent. He asserted that the administration is motivated by financial gain rather than the welfare of citizens, calling upon young people to take active roles in safeguarding the country's future. The event was attended by prominent party figures, including All India Youth Congress in-charge Manish Sharma and Pradesh Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha.
